About Tati Benton

Tatiana Benton is a designer and artist from Brooklyn, New York. She earned her degree in fashion design from Parsons the New School for Design. She also studied creative writing at Arizona State University.

Her favorite part of the design process is conceptualizing themes and ideas into wearable and useful pieces of art. From her background in creative writing, stories have always been the most important element to her work..

Tatiana also enjoys working with controversial themes within a political context driven by her Afro-Latina heritage and New York City childhood. By creating an interactive instrument of narrative, she hopes to bring the wearer/user closer not only to the story itself, but also to their own within its concept boundaries.

Her interest in stories has also carried into her work as a visual merchandiser and stylist, as brand image and collection conceptualization is her strong suit.
